Boss Your Attitude — Part 1.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Philippians 4:8 (KJV).
The definition of a bad attitude says it all. What is a bad attitude? It is a manner, feeling, or disposition that is not optimistic, cooperative, or constructive. People with a bad attitude are often unhappy. They can be described as moody, aggressive, belligerent, arrogant, blunt, insensitive, cynical, critical, dishonest, envious, distant, guarded, hostile, indifferent, intolerant, prejudiced, pessimistic, prideful, resentful, sad, rude, selfish, suspicious, unemotional, and untrusting. The list goes on.
Your attitude can contribute to managing your time effectively or waste valuable time. Attitude is life, and how you handle it matters. Your overall outcome in life is a result of your perspective. If you can change your perspective, you have succeeded in changing the outcome. It is not rocket science. When you change how you look at things, the things you look at will change. It is guaranteed that life will be a burden and less satisfying than it ought to be with a bad attitude.
When you are pessimistic about your career, business, relationships, health, and personal development, it will disrupt and affect the opportunities life brings your way. A bad attitude needs to be eliminated from your life because it is a destroyer of life. A bad attitude can affect your perspective because perspective is defined as a particular attitude or a way of thinking about circumstances. Our perspective is the window through which we view our life’s experiences. The attitude of your perspective will not be different from the bad attitude you exhibit.
The way you choose to see things control how you feel. How you feel determines how you act. Your action is what produces the results you experience. You are capable of making a positive change in your life. Choosing a positive perspective gives you the mindset and motivation to make positive changes. Negative excuses can hold you back, and you might miss the opportunity presented to you. It is time you stop blaming other people or making excuses for bad luck and instead focus on positive thoughts.
