"The Abundance of the Free Favour of the Lord." Luke 4:18-19
Hi Visitor,
It is possible to be active but empty, busy but spiritually cold. Timothy faced this danger, which is why Paul wrote to him, "Stir up the gift of God, which is in thee." Renewal involves more than cleansing—it includes reigniting your inner fire. The passion that once fuelled your worship, your prayer life, and your purpose may have dimmed. But fire can be stirred again. God's presence has not faded—you need to reconnect with it.
The spiritual fire dies when neglected. It fades when routine replaces relationships and when pressure outweighs passion. But the good news is this: the flame is not gone—it is waiting. All it takes is a spark of truth, a moment of realignment, a decision to lean in again. When you stir the fire, clarity returns, energy rises, and focus is renewed.
Do not settle for spiritual dryness. You were made to burn brightly—not with stress or striving, but with purpose and intimacy. Feed the fire today. Do what used to light your soul: pray deeply, worship freely, and study intentionally. Fire returns when you stop waiting to feel it and start choosing to feed it.
Think back to a season when your spiritual life felt alive. What were you doing consistently, then? What did you prioritise that you have since neglected? You do not need to chase that version of yourself—you need to choose those habits again. Passion is not found—it is rebuilt.
Scripture is filled with fire imagery. Moses encountered God in a burning bush. Elijah called down fire from heaven. The early church received tongues of fire at Pentecost. Fire represents presence, power, and purpose. You are called to carry that same flame—not a flicker of religion, but a blaze of relationship. Stir it.
Identify one spiritual habit that used to stir your passion but has been neglected—whether prayer, worship, fasting, or reading the Word. Reintroduce it today, not as a task, but as fuel. Set a daily time to reconnect. You will feel the fire rise again—one spark at a time.
"When the fire fades, do not wait for it to reignite on its own. Feed it. Stir it. Guard it. Passion returns where discipline lives."
May God bless your heart with a renewed hunger for His presence. May every spark of desire grow into a steady flame of passion and purpose. Let your spirit awaken, your voice rises, and your faith comes alive again. May you burn with clarity, intimacy, and strength as you return to what fuels your soul. In Jesus' name, Amen.
