Day 2: Casting Your Cares on God

Anxiety grows heavier when you try to carry it alone. God never designed you to shoulder the burdens of life without Him. “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:7). Casting is not a gentle placing down but a deliberate action of throwing your worries into His hands and refusing to take them back.

When you release your cares to God, you are declaring trust in His love and wisdom. This does not mean ignoring your responsibilities, but it means surrendering the weight that is beyond your control. The more you try to manage life by your own strength, the more anxiety will overwhelm you. The cure begins with letting go.

Today, take time to name your cares one by one and hand them over to God in prayer. Release them completely and remind yourself that His hands are stronger than yours. Peace begins where surrender starts.

Lord, I give You the cares that weigh me down. Teach me to trust You with every burden and to rest in Your love. May I find peace in surrender, knowing You are faithful. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
