The Sure Word for Today

Day 1: Storms Are a Part of Life

No one is exempt from storms. They come in different forms, such as financial struggles, health crises, broken relationships, or sudden loss. Storms are not signs that God has abandoned you. They are part of the journey of life. Jesus told His disciples in John 16:33, “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Trouble is guaranteed, but so is victory through Him.

Storms test your foundation. They reveal whether your confidence rests on shifting sand or on the solid rock of God’s Word. When your life is built on Christ, storms may shake you, but they cannot destroy you. They come to refine, not to ruin. God allows storms to strengthen your faith and remind you that your hope must rest in Him.

Today, accept that storms are inevitable but temporary. They will not last forever, and they cannot outlast God’s power. Stand firm in the knowledge that the storm you are in today is shaping you for tomorrow’s strength.
