"The Abundance of the Free Favour of the Lord." Luke 4:18-19

Hi Visitor,
Storms can make you feel alone, but Matthew 8:23–27 shows that presence is not determined by weather. The boat was covered with waves, yet Jesus was still there. Your storm may look threatening, but it does not mean God has stepped away. The storm may be loud, but His presence is stronger than the noise. Do not measure God’s nearness by how calm life feels.
The disciples assumed danger meant abandonment. They saw the waves and forgot who was in the boat. Many people do the same. Pressure rises, control slips, and faith starts to question. Yet the truth remains. Jesus was not absent. He was present. The storm revealed their fear, but His presence revealed authority. Fear changes what you think is true. Faith restores it.
Today, remember this. A storm is a season, not a sentence. The waves can rise, but they cannot remove God from your life. You are not abandoned, ignored, or forgotten. You are being carried through a moment that will not last forever. Hold steady. Speak truth to your heart. Trust His presence in the storm, and you will see calm in time.

You may feel abandoned because life has become difficult and unpredictable. The right response is to recognise that hardship does not remove God’s presence. Trust that you are not alone in the storm.
Say this aloud today: “God is with me in this storm.” Repeat it when fear rises. Let that truth steady your emotions and guide your choices.
Where have you interpreted difficulty as abandonment? What changes when you choose to believe that God is present even when the waves are high?
"Storms can shake your environment, but they do not remove your support. Presence is not proven by calm, it is proven by staying when it gets hard."

Lord, strengthen my heart when life feels stormy and uncertain. Help me to trust that I am not abandoned and not alone. Calm my fears, steady my thoughts, and guide my decisions. Let confidence rise within me as I remember Your presence is constant, even when circumstances are unstable. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
